We’re Natasha and Barrie Bowman. Black coffee drinking, whole food eating, travel obsessing, street food feasting, health loving home cooks.

In our tiny Glasgow kitchen we love coming up with delicious whole food recipes. We believe that creating nutritious, full of flavour food from scratch can be simple and fun. We focus on incorporating foods that do more than just taste good. Our aim is to nourish our bodies with mostly plant based meals whilst riding the flavour train. We hope you’ll find some inspiration here for that delicious whole food cooking.

Our journey to eating this way is a long story that involves a year of Chinese food, a two month junk food binge and an African hospital. Essentially it taught us to pay attention to what we put in our bodies and discover how food can fix you. We figured out  how to rewrite recipes so you can have the foods you love without compromising your health. For us food is about celebrating and enjoyment first and nourishment second. If doesn’t taste good we’re not eating it (OK maybe sometimes – I’m looking at you kale).

We take all our photos on our phones, no fancy camera equipment (unless we happen to have a friend’s DSLR hanging around). All the recipes you see on our blog are tested by us in our day to day life. It’s no frills, down to earth, real, simple food.
